Perpetual Metamorph: Alternate Realities

Marvel seem fond of creating alternate views of their characters, and Paige has been a part of several of these since the inception of Generation X in 1994. In each series, she displayed powers similar yet interestingly different to her normal abilities.

Powers: A metamorph, Age of Apocalypse Paige has the ability to transform any part of her body into any substance she desires. For example, she can change her arm into a rock spike while the rest of her is unchanged. She can also change into a more varied range of materials such as liquids and acids.

History: AoA Husk is a member of Generation Next, a team of mutant teenagers brought together by Magneto to fight Apocalypse. Trained by Colossus and Shadowcat, the entire team was dispatched to infiltrate the Seattle Core and recover Illyana Rasputin, Colossus' younger sister. She was killed by the Sugar Man during this rescue attempt, after being betrayed by Colossus.

Personality: Husk is playful and sarcastic, often winding people up for her own pleasure. In a relationship with Jonothon Starsmore a.k.a. Chamber, she seems eager to please him as shown by her red hair - dyed to his preference.

Powers: Although her powers are never revealed, it is assumed that Mutant x Husk has the ability to shed a layer of skin, revealing a new form below. She appears throughout with rough, pink skin which appears to be peeling in several shots.

History: As a member of the team of 'super-villains' known as The Marauders, Husk is commissioned to steal a box which contains the body of Dracula. The team are successful in the mission, but Husk and her brother, Cannonball, start to bicker as the box proves to be incredibly heavy and difficult to move. Unaware of it's contents, she suggests that the team open the box and share whatever is inside. When she attempts to carry out her plan, she receives an electric shock of some kind and is chastised by the team leader, Jubilee, who calls her a moronic hick. As Cannonball and Jubilee begin to fight, the box is stolen by a group known as The Outcasts. In an attempt to retrieve the box, The Marauders are confronted by Bloodstorm. Husk, Cannonball and Jubilee are all wounded in the fight.

Personality: Mutant X Husk seems to spend much of her time giving out to her brother. She is disgusted that they are from the same family and makes fun of him at every opportunity. She doesn't seem to be the most intelligent member of the group and acts before she thinks. Her country accent is quite clear and leads to her being referred to as a hick. Her reasons for joining The Marauders are unclear.

Powers: Has the ability to shed her skin, revealing a new super-hero form below. Each super-hero is equipped with different powers. In order to trigger a change in her skin, Dial H.U.S.K. must change the setting of her dial device. When the dial is returned to twelve o'clock, she reverts to her normal self.

History: Paige Guthrie discovered the dial device that transformed her into Dial H.U.S.K. in a cave near her home. The dial allows her to tap into her mutant power - shedding her skin. She became a member of X-Patrol when Niles Cable sent Elasti-Girl to recruit her.
